SHASH + HARRIET - WEDDING
CHALET SAUNTON - 22ND MAY
Where do I begin with this incredible wedding and even more incredible couple?!
Shash and Harriet brought their large tipi wedding forward in amongst the craziness of Covid and canned the idea completely; what they ended up with was an intimate and incredibly stylish wedding, overlooking the ocean with just 30 of their nearest and dearest.
It was the wedding day they had wanted all along, they just hadn’t known it!
Every little detail considered, from the feather Daily Sleeper pyjamas to the unique, modern jewellery from Alighieri; each aspect of this wedding was planned with the couple in mind, fiercely personal and unique to them.
An emotional first-look to settle the nerves against a backdrop of fresh green and white British florals before a ceremony at Pilton Church, close to home and even visible from their lounge window!
Harriet wowed in her first look - The Svalo gown by Rime Arodaky from The Mews Bridal paired with a simple and chic bespoke column veil by Sash + Veil.
The wedding planning revolved around a beach, specifically Saunton Sands, for sentimental reasons it needed to be at the very heart of this wedding. Chalet Saunton overlooks this entire beach, paired with a modern and neutral event space there was no other option for this style conscious couple.
The ultimate girl squad stunned with muted blue The OWN studio dresses that complimented the wedding design throughout, alongside natural materials and textures at every turn and bright white blooms - With the design I wanted to provoke a feeling of calm and serenity while mirroring the colours of the beach and ocean.
The event space was softened with clouds of gyp, natural linen cloaked tables, tall floral detailing and warm wooden cross-back chair. Modern, clean lines were a common trend with extra tall tapered candles and contemporary vases for single stem florals.
Food was high on the priority list when initially discussing the wedding with Shash and Harriet and I knew Sam from Eat Nice, Be Nice would be the perfect match for them. Each fruit and vegetable, herb and garnish home-grown in his walled garden, beef and lamb from his own smallholding and locally sourced seafood and mushrooms from a friend - Each ingredient with it’s very own story.
The six courses and multiple servings of canapes did not disappoint!
Harriet’s second look was a chic Nikeen Asar slip dress (Ophelia) from The Fall, the perfect look for an after-dinner celebration.
Chalet Saunton’s penthouse provides the ultimate retreat for some quiet moments to take it all in.
The evening was an electric celebration of love, every moment felt deeply by each guest honoured to be there. With Six15 in attendance there was no doubt that the party would be anything but spectacular!
An incredibly special day with talented and well-matched suppliers at every turn, proving that an intimate wedding does not need to lack in style nor in soul; made even more special by the fact I now get to call Shash and Harriet close friends.
How lucky am I to help couple’s to create their very own slice of magic!
