L & G . WEDDING
Edinburgh, Scotland
Leuchie Walled Gardens, a secluded oasis nestled near Edinburgh, Scotland, provided the perfect backdrop for a unique and intimate wedding. This enchanting setting, with its lush greenery and serene atmosphere, was the ideal choice for a couple seeking a relaxed and unconventional celebration - a joy to plan, style and deliver.
The evening before, the garden was transformed with wood-fired pizzas, fun table settings adorned with chilli and tomato sculptures, and draped linens. It was a relaxed yet stylish affair, reflecting the couple's unique aesthetic. The bride, a fashion-forward boutique owner (September Bridal), looked effortlessly chic in a stunning gown handcrafted by The Law, paired with powder yellow Jacquemus shoes.
The morning was calm, as the couple prepared together. The Bride looked effortlessly chic in her Blanc Wear gown, silk neck-tie and complemented her look with fashionable black accessories.
After a welcome glass of champagne, the ceremony unfolded on the tennis court, an unconventional yet fitting location. A knotted fabric archway, adorned with texture-heavy green florals, framed the couple as they exchanged vows. The intimate hand-tying ceremony, conducted by a close friend, was short, sweet, and meaningful, with the mist only adding to the atmosphere.
This couple, with their hearts rooted in Scotland, sought a wedding that was both intimate and unforgettable. The gorgeous gardens at Leuchie Walled Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration. With a focus on unique details and nostalgic touches, the wedding was a true reflection of their love story.
From the textured florals to the tennis court ceremony, every element was carefully curated. Post ceremony, the snack table, draped in rich taffeta, was adorned with food as decor, creating a feast for the eyes. Spicy margaritas, garnished with chili-infused ice cubes, added a touch of playful elegance to the festivities.
L & G envisioned a dinner party, not a wedding vibe, for their dining space. Inspired by nostalgic elements and dramatic flair, they opted for a billowingly draped marquee with a clear roof, allowing the stars to shine through. Dark, interesting florals paired with fruits adorned with black bows and draped tables set the stage for a feast for the eyes.
Hand-illustrated menus added a personal touch, while food was served on vintage silver platters, creating an eclectic and unique dining experience. As the sun set, metre-long candles were lit, and the authentic dinner party began with free-flowing cocktails and decadent desserts.
The Bride looked breathtaking in a stunning Blanc Wear gown, the perfect choice for a romantic garden wedding in Scotland, paired with the Groom’s choice of traditional kilt.
This wedding was a celebration of food, love and eclectic style captured perfectly by two photographers Alannah Liddell and Lieselot Martens in a mixture of digital and film images.
