From the vast Saharan dunes to the peaks of the Atlas mountains, Morocco is a dream for an adventurer but also those seeking a destination wedding.
Morocco's cities are some of the most exciting on the continent - an environment that makes you feel alive. Don’t be fooled by it’s history rich walls, Morocco also does modern chic and decadent glamour well with it’s palaces and contemporary spaces - the perfect blend of old and new and all within a 4 hour flight from London.
Whether it’s camel trekking in the desert, shopping in the souks or getting lost in the medina. Between the activities, you can sleep in boutique riads, relax on panoramic terraces and enjoy delicately flavoured tajines – before sweating it all out in a the traditional hammam.

WHY PLAN A DESTINATION WEDDING IN MOROCCO?
As a Morocco wedding planner, I find that it appeals to a variety of couples but ultimately those that are adventurous or creative who seek to maximise on the setting. It’s a special destination and one that allows you to deliver the ultimate guest experience whether you opt for a single day celebration or a weekend wedding over various locations. Probably one of my favourite multi-day wedding destinations.
There’s so much scope when planning a wedding in Morocco; perhaps you will host a welcome party in the desert, an authentic wedding in a Riad or maybe you want a luxury Moroccan palace as your backdrop?

HOW MUCH DOES A WEDDING IN Morocco cost?
How long is a piece of string? It is not always easy to budget for your wedding, especially when it is a destination wedding and you have no idea how much things cost! Sometimes clients think having a destination wedding means saving money however, this is almost always not the case!
IS MOROCCO A GOOD PLACE TO GET MARRIED?
There is beauty in every corner of Morocco from the intricate tiles of the Riads to the hustle and bustle of the souks and what’s more important is that it is extremely safe for you and your guests to visit.
When looking for a wedding destination it is important to consider the transport links, the ease of access for your travelling guests and the activities available to your friends and family when not at the wedding - in Morocco you are spoilt for choice with some of the best restaurants in the world to dine in to camel riding in the desert - any reservations your guests may have will quickly disappear when they experience Morocco.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME of year TO GET MARRIED IN MOROCCO?
Something that is always appealing when planning a destination wedding is the weather, Morocco is an attractive option - the subtropic and moderate weather is often cooled with a breeze resulting in some of the best guaranteed wedding weather.
The best and most popular months are May and June, September and October, the shoulder seasons. At this time of year the temperature is pleasant and warm giving you the option of outdoor dining or a desert party under the stars.
It is worth noting that in the Summer months Morocco can become unbearably hot, we would always advise avoiding these months.

DO I HAVE TO USE MOROCCAN SUPPLIERS FOR MY WEDDING?
There are lots of amazing wedding suppliers throughout Morocco suited to all budgets and styles and we always like to support the local businesses. There are times when wedding planning we may source suppliers from outside of Morocco; if client’s have a specific style or request (photographers, videographers, entertainment and HMUA are common examples of this) - with affordable flights from Europe and accommodation the options are endless.
HOW DO I PLAN A WEDDING IN MOROCCO?
When planning a destination wedding it is always worth considering a wedding planner, working with someone who can support you throughout the entire process from venue sourcing to ensuring everything is perfect on the day is priceless.
CAN WE GET MARRIED LEGALLY IN MOROCCO?
Morocco is no doubt a special place but formally marrying there is not easy. Typically, we would recommend signing the papers in your home country and then having a celebrant led ceremony in Morocco. However, if you are determined to marry in Morocco it is possible with constant contact with the relevant embassy in Morocco.
