Wedding Decor Checklist
A GUDIE TO STYLING YOUR WEDDING DAY
As a wedding planner and stylist we understand how overwhelming designing your wedding can be; especially with unlimited inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest and a blank canvas venue in front of you. There are lots of design elements that can go into your special day and if you’ve never planned a wedding before it can be hard to remember them all. We’ve created a wedding decor checklist in order to help you nail every little detail and help you with your wedding planning.
Wedding Ceremony
You wedding ceremony is arguably one of the most important aspects of your wedding, some of the most poignant moments will take place here so it’s important that it looks the part. It is also worth remembering that guests don’t spend too much time on this space so it’s not always necessary to go crazy. Ceremony seating is important as guests will need somewhere to sit, from there you might want to consider the backdrop, signage and more:
Seating
Ceremony backdrop
Welcome sign
Orders of service
Aisle markers
Aisle runner
Personalised vow books
Ceremony table
Accessories (fans/parasols)
DRINKS RECEPTION
Allocating some of your decor budget to this important part of the day is a good choice, it’s a time for guests to socialise and enjoy their surroundings. You might consider these design elements:
Bar decor and menu
Signature drink signage
Order of the day signage
Guest book table
Table for cards and gifts
Lounge furniture set up
Lawn games or activities
Wedding BREAKFAST AND Table Decor
This is one of the places to focus your decor budget for maximum guest impact and a place where your guests are going to be spending most of their time. The dinner table is fast becoming the design hotspot of your wedding day and as a luxury wedding planner I agree; personalise it with florals, textured linens and coloured candles but also consider repurposing ceremony design pieces.
