The Beldi Country Club Marrakech is nestled in the middle of six hectares of rose gardens and paths of century-old olive trees. It is only a ten minutes drive away from the Medina at the foot of the Atlas Mountains making it a perfect choice for a destination wedding in Marrakech. As one of the most iconic glass house wedding venues, Beldi Country Club boasts a tropical greenhouse that is it’s most popular wedding ceremony space. Working regularly as a wedding planner in Marrakech means planning weddings in a whole variety of venues; from desert camp welcome parties to all-singing all-dancing palace based celebrations - but I think Beldi Country Club is one of my favourites for a destination wedding.
The gardens and surroundings are incredible with so many hidden spots to explore; if you’re lucky enough to visit when the bougainvillea is in bloom you will be wowed by just how stunning it is - a perfect spot for your couple portraits.
Beldi Country Club caters for both intimate weddings and large celebrations, with a variety of spaces to utilise for your big day. On this occasion we chose to host the reception inside the gorgeous glasshouse with a minimal and sympathetic design. Pops of apple green and textured linens provided our canvas along with fun, modern stationery and a fabric installation to transform the vast glasshouse to a more intimate dining environment.
When creating the design plan for Beldi Club I was inspired by the glass buildings and bountiful setting - there was no shying away from the luscious greenery so we decided on a pop of green grape against the freshest of whites to sit, without competing, in this special setting. I have seen many luxury displays of florals throughout Beldi Country Club in the past so the fabric (sourced from the local souks) was something fresh, modern and visually interesting against the creeping vines and handcrafted chandeliers.
